Naomi Nowak is an artist and clothing designer based in Sweden. She’s a hugely talented, inspiring magical soul and her work is absolutely enchanting. Naomi only recently began designing and making clothing for sale, using exclusively recycled fabric and low impact dyes. The garments often feature hand drawn designs of magical and ethereal symbols and subjects, perfect for those drawn to the witchy forest elf aesthetic.

I was lucky enough to be the recipient of a custom made 3 Point Hoodie in forest green with a 7-pointed elven star on the back. Naturally I had to go flit about the woods in it for some photos! But it is one of those wonderful garments you can literally wear anywhere and any time, elegant, comfortable and a little otherworldly. I really can’t recommend Naomi’s work highly enough – go snap up a Raintower original for your own wardrobe, you won’t regret it!

I’m very excited to share with you the brand new Pixie Elflocks. I thought I’d freshen things up for the new season by revamping the colours available in my standard collection. The new Pixies are in gorgeous shades of pale green, burnt orange and slate blue. The Elflocks are now listed in my Etsy store, along with matching mini clip-in Elflocks (and there are still a handful of the old style Pixie minis available if you missed out). I can of course also make them adapted for short hair or in extra-long or short lengths.

Thanks to all who popped along and said hello at the Enchanted Spring Fayre last weekend! And thank you especially to my lovely houseguests Naomi von Monsta, Ali English and Lottie Gwynn for the mead and tea fuelled shenanigans… We had so much fun!

I have just updated my shop with the Gnome hat in bluebell. This is the very last hat in this colourway so if blue is your thing, be sure to snap it up quickly. I have also listed a pair of Enchanted Meadow gauntlets – again the very last pair I’ll be making as I’ve now run out of this yarn!

Marita Tathariel is an insanely talented artist from Norway, who in addition to sculpting and illustrating is also a skilled make up artist. I’m in love with her faun incarnation shown here, complete with mini Dryad elflocks! You can catch a further glimpse in this little Vine clip too.

If you are very lucky (and quick) you might be able to snag some of Tathariel’s absolutely gorgeous handmade Pixiefy jewellery when it is listed in her etsy shop. It isn’t listed very often, but when it is, it vanishes in the blink of an eye – and you can see why. Quite magical!

Busily beavering away making things for my next event – The Enchanted Spring Ball and Fayre
Taking place at the Masonic Hall in Preston, Lancashire on June 1st.

It is free entry to the fayre, which is on from 10-4, There is a great selection of stalls selling lovely things, as well as face painting and tarot reading. The evening ball starts at 8pm and features live music from Flutatious, Fay Brotherhood and Cernunnos Rising.

I’m really looking forward to it – and hopefully I’ll see some of you there!

Introducing my new Faery Treasure Bags! They are in a similar style to my Acorn Treasure Bags, but these beauties have a little leafy addition to the bottom and the button is a wonderfully tactile slice of oak. They have been hand knit in a wool-rich variegated yarn in shades of green and brown.

I will have a couple at the Enchanted Faery Market in Rochester next weekend, and will be listing them on Etsy after that. As with all Woodland Wild’s knitted items they are limited edition, with only 5 being made.

I’m currently ankle deep in gnome hats – I’m about half way though knitting a whole plethora of them to send to Australia by the end of the month. There are also quite a few events coming up that I am preparing for. I’ll have some treats in store including a new colour of Elflocks and a new knitted faery foraging bag. More information to come on those soon!
